About the project

In 2010, the 13th International Conference of the European Association of Southeast Asian Archaeologists (EURASEAA) was held in Berlin, organized by the Institute of Ancient Near Eastern Archaeology at the Freie Universität Berlin, the Ethnological Museum, and the German Archaeological Institute (DAI).

For this occasion, we designed a conference website, which provided general information, venue directions, and the conference program, and all accompanying information material, such as flyers, conference folders, programmes, and posters.

We created a photomontage as a cover illustration, which subtly hints at the conference’s title “Crossing borders …” As additional design elements, we developed intricate patterns, inspired by traditional South East Asian wood carvings.
